Saturday morning, LBpost's Ryan Zumallen called my mobile and told me of the Long Beach Mayors Cup Yacht Races happening that afternoon. I had a busy day ahead of me, but I couldn't decline an offer like this. Photographing an amazing event like The Mayors Cup? Sounds like a good Saturday afternoon to me!

Heres some images I took. The rest will be on LBPOST soon.

HERE is the Mayors cup site to learn more.

Audrey's Photoshoot

1980's Zebra Print Leggings.

We took it back a few years. Nearly 30 years ago the 80's were on their way, now they have come and gone. yet they left us with a distinct style yes, some bad, and some good. (But mostly good.)
The mid 80's brought Audrey into the world ; shes my girlfriend. She has lots of style, mostly good style.
I photographed her today in Long Beach, it was her first shoot and she did wonderful, I give her props for putting it all on the line and just going for it 100%. Plus dealing with me complaining about not having an assistant to make my life easier.
The shoot went well.
Take a look at these Teaser images.
More will come when I'm not falling asleep on my wrist.

Also photos of Mr. Belmont Shore Justin Rudd to come.

Cheers!

missile(s) huh?

the "real" image

I'm sure you saw it. (If not its right there...above)
I saw it about 200 times, on the news, on the front page of NYtimes, LAtimes, the local paper. The photo is everywhere! (And incase you missed it...heres the Story) (Not to mention, its now on my blog.)

I find it interesting how whoever edited this image wanted there to be 4 missiles and not just 3. Or is that really it? Did whoever edit the photo actually photoshop the whole thing??? I mean why else would they make it soo obvious that part of it was photoshopped? I mean who would call the bluff twice? (Besides me)
I think that this image is fake.

Your thoughts?
The breaking news image

I did some editing of my own as well. Heck why not make the whole world freaked out and use this photo all over the media? Its crazy how much our world is effected by media. How much of it is actually real and what percentage is manufactured for money?

This is my edit. Why not make it 9?

A Shot at Lust

You may have heard of Tila Tequila, you may have heard she has an absolutely pathetic TV show called "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila"
I happened to watch part of this last night at my best friends house, if your not familiar with it, heres what I'm talking about....READ HERE.
MTV produces and Airs this show. Yes, we've all witnessed MTV's downfall from an all music channel that hosted up and coming artists and hits, to how it is now... Just have a watch...checkout this show and then weep for our country. MTV, you have reached an ALLTIME LOW.

In my opinion... and yes, my opinion (works out &) is strong. "A Shot at Love" is the biggest joke and the most pathetic show in History! Pure fabricated drama, 30 people fighting for the love of one slutty bi-sexual confused ugly pornstar/myspace guru/wanna-be pop star?... To make matters worse... shes in her 2nd season! Shes kissed every single contestant, its a game show about "love". Everyone falls in "Love" with her and hopes to have her "love" in return... its a pretty sad day when this is at the top of the ratings.

Tila, you should just stick to your myspace career, posting bulletins and showing up at events to promote your "music"... stay off the airwaves of TV, your making our country look pathetic.
How did "LOVE" get such a bad rap? Is it because millions of people watch rubbish like this on a regular basis? Change the name to "A Shot at Lust"

Help stop this show and others like it, its polluting our world so fast. DON'T WATCH IT!

I grabbed these quotes from another blog...

All these "love" shows are soooo stupid
flavor of love ... rock of love ... i love new york ... the bachelor ... joe millionaire ... will this ever stop? these are all the same shows with the same fake love stories and who really cares??? they break up when the show is over so they can have another season afterwards. its all for publicity

... Its screwing with people's emotions and defiling the name of love. i mean, how dare they make love an ACTUAL game? eff that! but oh well, right? thats what mtv is all about, selling sex. if someone LIKES watching those shows, then go for it. i dont hate you. i still hate mtv though. OH YEAH! i think that shows like these are exactly whats putting our generation on the couch and outta the government's hair as it does what ever the hell it wants. brainwash the masses! kill your tv.

In The Perfect World

Having her as the face of a product, even if you don't want money, you will make it.

Yes, in the perfect world, beer would all have commercials like these. Heck, the whole world would feel like these commercials!
Have a peek.

Amazing advertising. I've never had Peroni, but I'm convinced its the best beer on the planet now.
Props to Jon for finding this and showing me, my life is changed.

Calvin Harris: "I Created Disco"

He's my favorite.
Its been about a year now since I started listening to the british Dance pop/Electronica star.
This guy knows what he's doing, but yet its so uncharted.
This is what I know about Calvin:

•He's 6'5"
•He likes girls, all kinds of girls. ("I like them Asian girls, mixed race girls,Italian girls, tall girls, short girls, brown haired girls, I like them blond haired girls, I like them skinny girls, I like those carrying a little bit of weight girls")
•He grew up in Dumfries.
•He makes songs that I could live off of.
•He wears bright clothes and glasses you can't see out of. (Or so it seems)
•He currently has the #1 song on the UK iTunes.

Alright ya'll, go check him out!

LISTEN to his music.
BUY his Album, its amazing!

Props to Heather... she's responsible for showing me Calvin, among many others...

Independance Day

Yeah, thats what today is. Its the day that we proclaimed we are a separate country, we can make our own rules, create our own flag, call ourselves the Land of the free and home of the brave.
July 4th. Its here. Remember our forefathers and honor them by lighting off some fireworks, or BBQing, or playing frisbee with your friends...heck, you can celebrate by lying on the beach with a glass of chardonnay for all I care, just celebrate!

I can still remember the firework wars we used to have on the 4th.
Growing up in the country (deep in the forests of Northwest Washington), I had relaxed parents and an Indian reservation near-by, which means I always ended up with the most deadly fireworks and firecrackers... this enabled us (siblings and neighbors) to reenact actual war... so we set up barricades, stashed 5 gallon drums of water (just in case things got really out of hand) and we continued to celebrate being free... and dangerous... Memories were formed, no one got too hurt, just an occasional bottle rocket burn on the neck, or an M-80 still ringing in the ears...For the most part, the only thing that stayed with me from those crazy times in the backwoods was wonderful memories and an even bigger appreciation for adventure and freedom.
With that said, celebrate today, celebrate responsibly and celebrate our liberty.

Cheers!

I'm off to photograph a wedding.

These are Medieval Times

Tuesday Night was my good friend Brooke Keegan's birthday.
20 of the finest people got together at Medieval Times, were crowned, given front row seats for the jousting tournament, a feast to eat and beer to guzzle. As you can imagine, the noise level quickly grew, our Knight was wearing Red and Yellow and those words were the culprit's for everone's stretched and battered vocal cords.

Here are a few of my favorite photos I took with my Leica D-Lux 3.

Cheers to all of you that braved Brooke's party and our front row of wildness.
Props to Jon for leading the cheer.
Props to Brooke for being born.
Props to Jeannie for planning the event.
and of course, props to the props people and Actors in the show.
No props to the Green Night.

This is the narrator. Jon got yelled at twice due to random cheers for Red and Yellow during his monologues.

RED AND YELLOOOWWW!!!

We thought he was going to win at this point.

Chicken Dinner, no forks needed...these are Medieval Times Jeannie, where'd you get the silverware?

Jasmine and Jeannie (yes, thats a bag with Silverware Jeannie is holding, shes always planning)
