Lose the flab, Run on Thanksgiving!

BELIEVE ME! You'll feel much much better when you eat pounds of turkey on Thanksgiving if you get the chance to run a few K's. Try 10 out for size and see what happens. Maybe you'll pass out...who cares! Its thanksgiving and there will be turkey and family and pumpkin pies waiting for you to come get out of your exhaustion coma.

So here whats going on and where to find info on running.
Believe me, its worth it... + like 4000 people dfo it, so it'll make the news and you can watch tyhat while your sipping on a thanksgiving beer.

Will I run in it??? hmmm, I'm still debating...I like running like I enjoy driving home from Santa Barbara at 2 in the morning... yes, its quite the feat, but it was a 2 hour drive and I'm sleepy! Bring me to a basketball court and I'll hoop it up for 2 hours... but running? hmmm... maybe.

The Parade for Dogs

Today was Mayhem on 2nd st. I loved it!
A million and 30 people on my street? I had to shoot some pictures.

Again, I kept feeling like I was the bases of a film... this wild event happening below my feet and I'm up in its face with a camera, getting licked by a new dog every block, stepping on masked bystanders feet and watching people get yelled at for their illegal street loitering.
Oh Belmont Shore, you've shown up the other shores of the world once again.
Now lets just work on keeping our businesses afloat and go buy stuff!

What we do in Long Beach for fun

Anyways, change of plans.
I am NOT going to the group show tonight, I'll be photographing for White Lilac at an undisclosed location. The show is NOT my style and I found that out after trying to find a good spot to hang my art during the art hang on friday.
My pieces turned out great, thanks in part to John Hesketh's hard work at Photomation. The show isn't my style and I nearly took all of my pieces down... so if you go see the show... Enjoy... I'm planning on having my own show soon... we'll see what I can do.

After shooting for White Lilac, I'll be heading to Rita Brady's grand opening at her new location! Rita is my dear friend who is an amazing Esthetician.

Then hopefully cocktails with a few good friends.

Giving Project:Follow up

21 Pairs of Shoes

"Alright Alright, I'll set down the camera, the computer and the phone to make some time."
That's what I had to finally tell myself when I hadn't spent the remaining $800 from the money I won at The Long Beach Giving Project. So its finally been done! I have a little over $200 left, but plenty ideas for that sum. Here's what I did with the most recent $600.
Thanks to team work from my Intern Emily and of course some savvy shoe shopping from my girlfriend Audrey. I was able to help out 2 great organizations inside Long Beach. I found out the greatest need from each shelter and tried to match it.

Here's what I bought:

•21 Pairs of Kids Shoes (either Black or white for their school uniforms, sized to fit each individual child)
•22 Pairs of Boys Socks
•12 Bras (MUCH Needed we were told)
•6 Outfits for little boys up to age 12.
•25 Pairs of boys underwear
•15 Pairs of Women's Panties.

So there you have it, nearly finished with the giving and I'm having fun!
Someone wise once said at dinner tonight... "The happiest people in the world are those that give of themselves" Eddie said that, I think he may have been quoting my mom, because I can't tell you how many times I've heard something similar to that coming from her.
Anyways, I think they are both right.
