Long Beach Wedding

Stacey and Jamie were married yesterday.
The Ceremony was at St.Bartholomew church off of Nieto in Long Beach and the Reception was held at Virginia Country Club. The event inspired a great deal of celebration, which included dancing, drinking and eating.
Ira and I photographed, with assisting by Josiah. It was the first time only the Brother's Lippke ran the whole show. In the past when Josiah has assisted for me and Luke assisted for Ira... so first time us 3 brothers made things happen.
Take a look at these images from their big day!

Being a Bridesman

I had the honor of being apart of Heather and Eric's wedding. Heather and I have been friends for many many years, shes like my sister, we tell eachother darkest secrets and boost up eachother whenever one of us needs it. We laughed together at how much we've talked about her wedding, even before Eric and her were dating. It was a surreal and amazing day, I'm so happy for them booth!
Here's a quick shot of Heather,Yvonne,Lauren,Erin and I.
I'm still so honored that Heather would pick me to represent her friends and favorites.
Knowing that Heather and Eric are my neighbors make me stoked too! I'm excited to knock on their door for sugar, or butter, you know the neighbor baking necessities.

Love you guys. Mr and Mrs. Eric & Heather Trine

Starbucks, Go green!

Bring your own IV!

Do you like the color green?
Do you care about our planet?
Do you like saving money?
Do you drink Starbucks?
Do you have an IV with Starbucks brew attached to your body?
Have you ever wanted to makeout with a sexy model?

If you answered yes to one or more questions, you'll be in agreement to "Jon's Rule".
Jon's rule was sorta put together yesterday in a collaboration of freeminded thinkers trapped inside a think tank (AKA, the Lippke Studio).
Heres the pitch to Starbucks.

Re-Usable Cup Incentive Program

Paying an up front cost for a "Starbucks Cup" that you can bring in a re-fill each time you come in. Every time you come in and use this "Starbucks Cup" you receive a small discount for your purchase. For example, charging an up front cost of $15 for the "Starbucks Cup" and every time you use your cup, you receive 15 cents off your beverage. This would be a great incentive for those of us who go to Starbucks on a regular basis and want to help the environment from those Mocha Cappuccinos plastic cups and straws, and in return, rewarding us with a small kick back for our efforts.

So those are Jon's thoughts.

I personally think that we should get a 1 quarter discount(or the cost of the cup) and a separate .10 would go towards a "Save the flippin planet fund".... to later be given to me, so I can get a new convertible with amazing gas mileage.

What do you think? Would it work?
I know that my Dad has been doing this since the beginning of his time/addiction to coffee.
So Dad, if your reading this...you've burnt your hands countless times on your metal "Milkshake" X-large sized coffee cup... was it worth it to help save the environment?

This is a common site around these parts where we have a Starbucks coffee shop just 30 feet from the studio and another one 8 blocks away.

"Jon's Rule" is manly in use with iced beverages, since the paper is easily recycled.
Save the earth, don't burn your tires and use your own glass at starbucks.

Heck, Starbucks, you should launch a campaign called "Samuel's Rule" it'll be an 80's style campaign and I'll take the campaign pictures. Homeless people dressed in tuxes, drinking Starbucks out of 1980's styled cups that say "Save the 80's" The cups will be durable and able to fit in a fanny pack.

San Onofre: Beach Day

Yes, yesterday I had a day off.
So I grabbed some of my favorite people, headed to the grocery store for goods and bolted down to San Onofre for a beach day.
Oh yes, it was much needed.
Non of my usual friends could make it. Or so I thought.
Heather and Eric showed up! It was so great to see them and just relax with them. Heather told me all about her wedding, which was sweet to hear about, cuz I'm in her wedding party as the bridesman. Why not have a bridesman? Heather is my sister and it means so much that she choose me for her side. I'm honored. So yeah, she filled me in on everything. Their wedding is going to be in 1 month and its going to be amazing!

I got some surfing in, I yelled at a few people, got cussed at for saving a parking spot, lost my wallet (temporarily),made some amazing cocktails, took care of my girl when she got sick and ended up having a fun beach day!

Heres some of the pictures. Thanks to Ira's new 24mm 1.4 lens.
The surf in Southern California is AMAZAING right now! Get out there!

Packing up the gear!

No surf rack.
Part of the crew.
Here I am getting the place put together. About to make some cocktails and chips and salsa.

First surf session in over a year.

My lovely lady and her big ol hat!
The future Trine family.

Ira and his cigar watching the sunset.

Relaxing and enjoying the view is all apart of a good beach day.
Next week's funday: AVP Long Beach!!!

Back in Long Beach

Jason Walker(Perfect attire)

I missed it. It missed me. I missed her and yes, she missed me!
I'm back and everything is moving with ease.
Plenty of pictures to edit, I have my interns working hard at getting jobs worked on and I'm trying to balance a few upcoming events and trips, as well as ordering random things for my Godson and my nephews, oh and a new burner for cooking? (They don't make appliances like the used to)

NY was slick
, I enjoyed myself, I worked hard and I shopped hard. I walked alot and I breathed the subways humid dusty air. I stayed in the heart of Manhattan with my brother at the fancy new studio. I walked to the Apple store on 14th street with a hop in my step and I ate at the best restaurants in town.

I'm back in Long Beach now and I love it. The low key if you want it, or the fast paced if thats what you need. I love Long Beach, I'm pretty sure it loves me.

Highlights of my trip in order.

10.Working out at Equinox Gym w/Ira.
09.Being at the NY studio.
08.The Slice of Pizza I ate before leaving.
07.Shopping in Sojo with Ira. (American Apparel is my favorite!)
06.Eating at Freeman's & 5 Ninth.
05.Football with Ira in central park.
04.Photographing the Kennedy wedding at the top of Rockefeller center.
03.Finishing the shoot and having a cocktail back in the studio.
02.Talkin to my girl on the phone and bragging about all the shopping.
01.The Blanketfest in Central park, while listening to the NY philharmonic, sipping on wine and being with friends. (See images)

Ira shopping for the event in his "Gross" little grocery store.(No we didn't buy corn for the picnic)
More Jason Walker.

The sky during the NY phil's performance.

The gathering.

Thanks for journeying with me. It was a fun trip! I'm off to sleep now.

Clout Magazine

A few pages of my images are in Clout magazine, as well as a promo with my face. slick yeah?
Go pick it up. Oh, you have a question about the Anatomy part? hmmm...I guess you'll just have to pick up a magazine and find out...(I'm still not sure)
I thought I was going to get the cover shot, but some shot of ladies running down the beach with surfboards beat my images out...I guess I still have a way to go if I can't beat out that!I'm aiming now for a covershot on Long Beach Magazine and maybe a Press Telegram. Heck, why not W mag? haha! Dreams can become true.Frank's place looks great and I think the article turned out good. Frank Groff runs a very successful PR company in Long Beach, hopefully he and I can work together again in the near future.

Heres my face again. Are you sick of this shot yet? Ira, you get props for this shot.

Manhattan: Day 3

Equinox Gym was a key ingredient in getting this day off right.
Ira has a membership and I now have a 3 day membership to this deluxe workout center.
Ira led me along his workout and I ended up being really tired. Not only was I doing new workouts, things I don't do often, I was workingout in the morning and thats something I never do!!
Next was breakfast(yogurt, raisens, bananas and honey) then some work on the laptop, Apple store to repair my lame internet problem,Lunch at 5 9th, Walked in and saw Tim Robbins and Susan Serandon eating with their children. We ate a great lunch... best lunch EVER! Go to 5, 9th in the Meat packing district and order the beet salad. its worth $50, but only costs $14!
The rest of the day was spent walking around Manhattan shopping for clothes,a watch, sailor suit coat and something for my lady. I found instead a pair of NIKE's some slick stuff for my girl and a $5,900 watch I desire, but can only lust over... $5,900?? Wow! I can't find the watch anywhere online, otherwise I would show you. I'm in LOVE with this watch to! Wanna chip in so I can get it? Yeah, I thought not.
So this day was all about walking, eating great food, trying to shop and buy, but mostly just shopping.
Ira had the camera around his arm all day, so here are a few shots he took.
Next up I need to post some pictures of Ira Lippke Studios: NY office, its smokin cool!

For now, I need to get back to picture editing!
Thanks for your comments and emails Ira,Warren,Billy and Tattooed Paddywhack, I love getting notes!

Heading to 5, 9th.

Ira swinging deals on the phone.

Here is where I start bragging with pictures of the 3 amazing restaurants we ate at.
I was capitalizing on the view(5, 9th)
Belshazzar in Soho. Awaiting the oysters and iced coffee.

Freemans, its Ira's favorite spot. I can see why.

Ira with horns behind him.

It was yet another great day. Accomplished alot, spent too much money and now I'm spent!
Goodnight! Gimme Coffee made me the best iced mocha I've ever sipped on EVER!!! Go visit them! Oh, I got some new shoes. Wanna see um?? CLICK HERE!
