Adam's Birthday (Photoshoot)

Last night was a good friend of mine Adam Sjoberg's birthday party.
Everyone invited was told by Marci (the organizer) to dress like Adam... so we did...as you can see... Although stripes are MY thing, I also remembered that Adam had the same shirt...so I wore it.
Later in the night Adam was given a B&W striped shirt along with his friend Chad... so the stripes live on in this photoshoot.

Check it.

Karla's Shoot

I shot a friend of a friend (and now my friend, as well as my brother Josiah's 2nd date of the trip) If that didn't make sense, maybe read it again, if still no luck, forget it, its for the quick, whitty and slightly confused.

I shot Karla tonight, she drove up from San Diego for some headshots for her work. She's a hair stylist and works with a company called "Scruples". (+we shot some fun fashion images of her as well.)
I had Josiah assist me with my gear (Canon 5D,Canon 70-200 2.8 IS,Canon 85mm 1.8 & Canon 24-105) and I had Karla get ready to show me her best looks... off we went to shoot at my new favorite spot.
The Belmont Pool has an amazing design, a good amount of shade and backgrounds that a retro/fashion/W magazine lover would well, love!
Here we are, heres what we got (click image above)...cheers to a fun, successful shoot.

Now I'm really going to need caffeine...maybe before the run? geeez, that'd be horrible.

K, goodnight for reals now.

Trina and Kristian's Engagement shoot.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Trina and Kristian called me a few months ago and asked me to shoot their wedding, they then wanted an engagement shoot, which was smart of them, because we got some amazing shots! This is the first look at this shoot.

We shot in El Sugundo near the LAX airport.
They really wanted shots w/Kristian's El Camino. I like the overall feel of the images.
Here are 3 images that i think highlights the evening perfectly.
Enjoy!

"Displace me" The experience.

Last night over 6000 people gathered in one location for one reason. To the war in Uganda.
Pomona Fairplex was the stomping grounds and epicenter for a night that will go down in history.

We arrived, cardboard in hand, red "X's" painted on our white shirts, a water bottle and a box of saltines.
The whole idea was to camp out with just sleeping bags and cardboard. To mimic the people of Uganda that have been "Displaced" by war.
The Saltine crackers and water bottles were quickly taken from us unopened and would be distributed in rations the way the government does for the displaced.

People got up and spoke in front of the thousands sprawled out on the grass. We all listened to what we had to do to end the war, who was capable of doing it and what we could do to help urge these people to make a move.
We saw videos on a large screen and we had 21 minutes (which seemed like an hour) of silence for the war and its victims.

Everyone was encouraged and felt like we had accomplished something.

It was apretty fresh night, alot of energetic people ready to save the world one place at a time.
Our group was pretty sweet, we made a nice fort of a cardboard hut, played a few rounds of "Mafia" and then packed in like sardines, we whispered ourselves to sleep under the misty sky.
Yes, I felt like I was in Woodstock, minus the drugs and sex. Add some really cool cardboard huts and really friendly people to the mix, your pretty much camping with 6000 friends.

Heres some pictures from my experience.

I'll be glad to keep any of you posted on the on-goings of this organization.
