Shot of the Week (Kristen Kassinger)

She's taken over my blog the last few weeks due to our recent photoshoot. Kristen now has a "Shot of the Week" on my blog... so her career is MADE! haha... if only it were like that... I'd have alot more how do you say it? Oh yeah "Friends" Plus alot more "CASH"...but no... this is just for my own satisfaction, so I can convince myself that I can take a decent picture once in awhile.

I'll be considering her in my next big project...but I'm not leaking any clues just yet!

••••••••••••
I love this shot, taken with my Canon 5D with the 85mm 1.2 lens. The warm light behind her, the hat, the style, it just reminds me of a day at the beach... thats why its my favorite shot this week.

Alright, I'm sore from working out, I'm tired from editing pictures: I'm off to sleep!

P.S. I just realized I'm into Hats...big hats... my last 2 "Shots of the week" have been taken with my model wearing a large hat! Crazy!!!

Shot of the Week (7.27.2008)

Long Beach Hat
I love this shot.
I took it of Audrey, while we were walking to the AVP a perfect mix between Mystery (Hiding under the hat), Urban living (International Tower in the background/coffee) and just plain photojournalism (AVP pass in hand, walking across street, not aware of the photo being taken).
My favorite Girl and my favorite building.

Shot of the Week (6.19.2008)

I like how this image turned out. The lighting, the style and the bed he's sitting on. Ira gets credit for looking like a time piece.
I'm heading to NYC tomorrow to visit Ira and to photograph a wedding with him.
Whats going on with comments on my page? I get around 1 a week. Do people even read this thing?? Do you have opinions? Kick them out to me, I like opinions.

Shot of the Week (5.15.2008)

This weeks favorite shot (that I took) has to be this one right here.

Shot from a Robinson R-44 helicopter.
Last night over Long Beach.

If you want to own this image and mount it on your wall, I don't blame you. Tell me the size you want and I'll print this thing!

Cheers!

Shot of the Week (Audrey and Diesel)

Sunday afternoon:
Just finished a long and tedious bike ride/feed the homeless and both Audrey and Diesel (the 7 week old Pitbull) fell asleep on the Lippke Studios couch.

I love the lighting, the rich browns and the feeling this image gives off. Not to mention Audrey's beautiful skin tone and natural light seeping through the window. This my friends is the shot of the week.

Shot of the week (3.20.08)

I love this photo.
The lines, shapes, designs and the guard standing watch adds so much to the image. (don't forget the yellow line that basically holds this image above the rest)
Circa 2005 (Tokyo)(Copyright: Samuel Lippke)

Column with LBpost.com should be up soon.
Also a little recall of Indonesia Pictures might show their face soon.

My day is spent searching for images, adjusting an engagement shoot for my brother and hoping for another Laker win tonight. As well as trying to get press coverage to attend a Laker game...let me know if you have any connections.

I'm out!

Shot of the Week (3.7.2008)

I like this shot.
Its wild, its colorful, its ironic. What time period was this taken in and why was Samuel in that period? These are questions you may never get the answers for...but at least it gets that extra percentage of your brain working.

This image was taken with my Canon 5D, with 580flash attached to 4' flash cord. (all canon products)

More to come shortly... I'll get on the shot of the week thing here.
By the way, if you were at the Bachelors Ball (where this image was taken and would like to see all of the images, email me HERE

Shot of the week (1.20.08)

I was in Santa Barbara this past weekend.

Needed to get one of my best friends (Ralph) out of town for the weekend.
We decided visiting our Friend Brian Gump at UCSB would be good.
The 2 of us piled the TT with roadtrip gear and headed to SB's IV (Isle Vista) for a jam packed weekend full of Volleyball,Batting cages (brian and his crew are all on the ball squad), good food, Pi Phi tour (That whole scene is so new to me, I was fasinated as are many, thats why they're willing to pay $3000 a semester to live in the house) Anyways, good times this weekend were had by all.

Highlights included Crashing 3 parties ("Yeah, is Josh Snyder here? He said he'd be here! That Josh! Anyways, whats your name?") Volleyball and then helping Ralph choose a car to buy and driving it home. (His car is slick!) Its a white Nissan 350Z.

Anyways, before I keep going on and on and on like I can so easily do...I want to share my image of the week with you.
I took this as I was packed and Leaving Brian's apartment. Isle Vista in a Nutshell right there. (See Image Above)

Ralph's NEW ride. Such a slick car!
