I'm all about the "Sneak Peek"

This edition of "Sneak Peek" is of my new blog.
Its still being designed by Daniel Fairbanks. But this is a morphed image of the front screen.
It is scheduled to take over for this blog starting right after thanksgiving
I can't wait to blow your mind with a flippin wild page.

Here's what I'm looking forward to on my NEW blog:

•Larger image display
•Better layout, more personalized.
•Ad Space (for people/companies that want to Advertise on my page)
•Character, not just a blank page where I can write. The page will feel like a web persona of myself... or so I hope.
• Better commenting zones.

BAM! There you have it. Hope you can wait better then I can...I'm having troubles with this patients thing.

My new Nephews!

Ethiopian Children

I am a happy uncle right now!
My sister has been working hard with her husband to adopt these two amazing boys.
It took them months to get everything perfect, from legal documents, to court dates, to coordinating with what probably seemed like 60 people.
I would have been in Ethiopia with them right now! I booked a flight out to document this exciting time for our family! But plans changed and they came back to the states as soon as they possibly could. Something about being sick and being in a third world country for an extended period of time can wear you out. So, I had to cancel my flight... I'm still very disappointed and sad I couldn't be there... but Daniel (known for his studly web design skills) captured some great images of their trip.
Here are a few pictures of my wonderful Sister, her Husband, my niece and their amazing journey adopting 2 brothers from Ethiopia.

My sister is amazing!

The new boys, I can't wait to meet them!

I've heard he's quite the ham. Always looking to get a laugh... and he'll get them if I can help it.

Ethiopia

This is quite the man. I don't know what our family would do without him.

My Sis and her boys, she's extremely happy here, I can tell.

Perfect brothers.

I can't wait to meet my new nephews! End of July I'll be heading up there to have some family time.

Its Official: I'm going to Ethiopia

Yesterday I booked a flight.
I'm going and its official.
After months of waiting patiently, my sister (The leading commenter on my this page, thanks sis!) and her husband (who is an amazing web-designer)finally got their court date and were cleared to pick up their 2 new sons in Ethiopia!
I bought a ticket so I can meet up with them!
I am so privileged to have the resources and availability to be able to invest in my family history in such a way... meaning, I'll be photographing the trip as best I can. It will be a photo project about adopting children from Africa. I am so excited with the possibility of incredible pictures! Meeting my newest family members excites me even more!

So happy!
I leave early in the morning after photographing a wedding with Ira in NY. June 22.
Keep me and my family in your prayers! I will be meeting my sister and her husband and my niece!

(checkout his Bangladesh images...amazing!)

My sister tossed me that website. He's already inspired me for this next trip... Its fun to be inspired. Inspiring yourself often comes full circle until your dizzy with your own thoughts... its nice to have people like my brother and other people like Miki.

Plenty more posts regarding this trip on the way... especially after the 22nd.

My Photography Site: Relaunched!

www.samuellippke.com

Samuellippke.com
has been relaunched!
My website has been given a huge makeover, most of the pictures are brand spankin new and its got a crazy fun look that will blow your mind. The site says something along the lines of "HEY! Samuel Lippke is a photographer! He enjoys what he does and he likes you...Samuel is not a scary man with missing teeth, Samuel is a young man with no recent cavities."
Like I said, it might say something different to different people... but thats kind of what I was going for.
I really do think you'll enjoy it. Even if your not feeling the late 80's, early 90's hip hop graphics and layout, you'll still enjoy a few images...

Click on this link to see what I'm talking about.

www.samuellippke.com

I hope while your reading this, you're chillin at your home or a really nice villa in the rocky hills of Italy, maybe even a beach house in Bali... but wherever you read this... I hope your feeling good. Less stressed more relaxed... (ready to spend hours sending my site to everyone you know)

Cheers my dear friends!

-Samuel
